The first cover print in a series of three for the second issue of L'OFFICIEL IBIZA is the artwork LUNA LLENA, a tribute to the work of French artist Yves Uro. Uro came to define the image of Ibiza nightlife during the heady era of the 1970s and 1980s, when his cutting-edge poster designs for clubs like Ku, Glory's and Pacha became the calling card of Ibiza's hedonistic party scene. .

My dear Yves,

A sweet Frenchman of only 21 years of age, you landed on the island of Ibiza one bright day in May 1976 and immediately decided to make it your refuge. You were dazzled by the sunrise and the colors of the island. You based all your hopes and dreams on this place, where you could finally fulfill yourself and find calm. You expected serenity in Ibiza, but also an intellectual, creative ferment and the meeting of other people who, like you, imagined and wanted another world. You told me how much energy the island gave off and I encouraged you to create your hundreds of posters for Pacha, Glory's, Club San Rafael and KU.

Today, when I look at all your posters, I am always fascinated by the little details: the kittens, the flying teapots, the owl, the crocodile, those birds that deliver messages, your discreet self-portrait, a little love message, the flying saucers, the pigeons , the moon... All this takes me into your mind and allows me to understand you better.

You were avant-garde in technical design, a virtuoso of screen printing and airbrushing tools. Your brain was buzzing with ideas, you were curious, you were always alert. You observed, recorded and photographed your surroundings without ceasing.

My dear Yves, you wanted a world without borders, where children were multilingual and tolerant, where everyone could thrive in their chosen field and live as one. You were a sweet dreamer. I always admired you, daring to live your life as if time was ticking
