Sugarhill Harper Batik Black Pineapples Jumpsuit

The Harper jumpsuit is cut from lightweight viscose with thick shoulder straps, a square neck, pockets and wide legs. Cinched at the waist with a matching belt, this loose fit jumpsuit is cool and comfortable on warm days. Hand finished in Bali using the ancient Indonesian technique of batik, each garment is slightly different, making it that little bit more special.

What is batik?

Batik is a wax dyeing technique applied to cloth. Batik is made by imprinting the wax design onto fabric using a copper stamp called a cap. The applied wax design resists dyes and thus allows the artisan to color selectively by soaking the fabric in one color, removing the wax with boiling water, and repeating the operation if multiple colors are desired. Due to the handmade nature of this process, each Batik printed item differs slightly, making it unique and very special.
