Inspired by the Talavera tiles and ceramic pieces with which he has worked and using the color cobalt blue as a common thread, if something defines his work it is that it is anecdotal and extravagant in which you always have to look twice. A traditional sarcasm as a tentacle of his work and such a rich universe. His series Tropical Window develops his unique iconography, the volcanoes that draw life from the center of the earth, with allusions to classic science fiction cinema.
Sergio Mora (Barcelona, 1975), also known as MAGICOMORA, is a painter, illustrator, draftsman and a regular collaborator of the different Tiwel collections, having participated in some spring-summer seasons, with fun, striking garments and a sea of recognizable .
And it is that we continue to hallucinate, since in the kaleidoscopic world of Sergio Mora, nothing is what it seems to be. It is a continuous blink in the realm of the impossible. Winner of the Latin Grammy for Best Design for “halley the poet” of Love of Lesbian, recently designed the murals for chef José Andrés' Bazaar Mar restaurant, designed by Philippe Starck in Miami. It also collaborates with Gucci and other renowned designers. His illustration draws on childhood, games and toys, rock, pop, cinema, science fiction and monsters.
