Cotton is grown in Brazil and Peru by associations that respect people and the environment, following fair trade principles. In Brazil, cotton is organic and agroecological, a farming method that enriches the soil after cultivation by promoting the diversity of the crops grown and improving water retention. In Peru, organic cotton farmers receive support during the certification process, including technical and financial assistance to improve their production.
