Three rain jackets in Rains' PU fabric: how they differ and which one suits you.
Rains was founded in Denmark in 2012, is based in Aarhus and started out with the idea of reinventing the raincoat. Today it has three main versions. Here is how they differ, according to their product sheets.
In short
Jacket: the unisex classic with a regular fit and a 5,000 mm water column. Long Jacket: the long version, rated W3. A-Line: a women's jacket with an A-line silhouette, also W3.
All three have PU fabric, sealed seams and a hood with a peak. What changes is the length, the silhouette and the waterproof figure on each sheet.

04 · Sizing
If in doubt, size up
The Jacket is unisex with a regular fit. Its sheet is clear: if you are between two sizes, choose the larger one so you can layer underneath. The same sheet has the size guide, with a length of 76 cm in XS up to 87 cm in XXL.
The Long Jacket is also unisex; the A-Line is cut for women.
05 · Care
Machine wash, cold
The Jacket and Long Jacket sheets say machine wash at 30 °C, no tumble drying, no ironing, no dry cleaning and no bleach.
The Long Jacket sheet adds two details: no fabric softener or waterproofing additives, and wash with similar colours.
