Issue number 28 has been curated by Willy Chavarria, a Mexican-American designer and founder of the brand that bears his name.
Ten years after founding his eponymous brand, Willy recognizes not only the power of clothing and style—and, sometimes, a bit of showmanship—as a catalyst for amplifying Chicano cultural heritage, language, music, art, and religion, but also that fashion is a means to create social change in the fight for equal human rights, not only for Black and Brown people, but also for the working class, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other marginalized groups facing bigotry and hate.
