Created by fashion industry veterans Phillip Bogart Duncan and Charles Daigrepont Desselle, Daisy Chain is decadent and stunning, with lush but unpretentious production. Each issue features a playful mix of new and experienced talent, contextualized by a theme. The selection indicates the current moment, as well as the foundations on which it is based. Works that had gone unnoticed are celebrated and the canon is reinvestigated. Elsewhere, fashion photography is a promotional product; in Daisy Chain, it is art itself.
The inaugural edition, "Space," includes original commissions by Thibaut Grevet, Shaniqwa Jarvis, Kuba Ryniewicz, Emma Summerton, and Zeng Wu, while reproducing works by Hans Feurer, Nick Knight, Mert and Marcus, Viviane Sassen, and others.
