Welcome to iD's Beta issue, a tribute to the young people of Generation Beta born in 2025 and anyone of any age who moves beyond the limitations of their time.

In this issue, we head to Puerto Rico with Bad Bunny, known on the island as Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, as he attempts the impossible: a smash-hit tour with only one stop (his hometown). Writer Suzy Exposito meets Benito at El Coliseo in San Juan to talk about what it means to be a local hero and celebrate his roots, with intimate portraits by Ryan McGinley.

We also brought together cover stars born in 2025, 1994, and 1981, as well as talent spanning from boomers to babies, to offer a comprehensive view of what it means to be alive in 2025. We reinvent ourselves with a Gen X It Girl, learn to drop in with a Gen Z skater, and take advice from a baby boomer film director shooting a bold new movie.
