Toiletpaper is an artists' magazine created and produced by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, born from a passion or obsession that both cultivate: images. The magazine does not contain text; each image arises from an idea, often simple, and through a complex orchestration of people it becomes the materialization of the mental outbursts of the artists. Since the first issue in June 2010, "Toiletpaper" has created a world that unfurls ambiguous narratives and haunting imagination. He combines the vernacular of commercial photography with twisted narrative frames and surreal imagery. The result is a publication that is itself a work of art that, through its accessible magazine form and wide distribution, pushes the boundaries of contemporary art economics.
