The Big Hearts print has a very feminine touch, featuring watercolor-style pink hearts on an off-white base. Hand-finished in Bali using the ancient Indonesian technique of Batik, each garment is slightly different, making it that little bit more special.
What is batik?
Batik is a wax resist dyeing technique applied to fabric. Batik is made by printing the wax design onto the fabric using a copper stamp called a cap. The applied wax design resists dyes and therefore allows the artisan to selectively color by soaking the fabric in one color, removing the wax with boiling water, and repeating if multiple colors are desired. Due to the handcrafted nature of this process, each Batik printed item differs slightly, making it unique and very special.
